The Whirly Wife

My name is Aggie.
Welcome to my Whirly Wives blog.
I am very proud to be married to a pilot and I am truly grateful for this lifestyle. My husband and I met in high school and have been a couple ever since. Our life journey has taken us from Pennsylvania, through Arizona and currently Texas. We have journeyed though multiple areas of the aviation world from fueling, dispatching to commercial pilot.
He currently flies over the Gulf of Mexico in a Bell 206 or 407 helicopter. I am a stay at home mom and wife. He is gone a lot, but is also home a lot. We cherish the time that we have together when he is home and we make sure that we have the flexibility to pursue our interests. Our family comes first.

The goal of this blog is to share the wonderful sides of pilot wife's life with other pilot wives, rotor wing and fixed wing. Don’t get me wrong there are highs and there are lows, it is real life after all. My goal in this blog is to:
Create a network of women who can discuss the high and lows
Find information about the aviation world
Provide advice on how to cope with the loneliness that is often our companion
Share our insight on what our husbands feel when away from home gaining better understanding
Help each other with arising issues that we face when raising our children as we share our lives with pilots.
